Schmidt is responsible for developing and maintaining attractive and effective designs for Commission publications, educational/promotional materials and web sites.

Elizabeth has a bachelor's degree in graphic design with a minor in art history from the University of Michigan School of Art and Design. She also completed requirements for a concentration in photography.

Prior to joining the Commission, she worked as an intern designer with Global ReLeaf of Michigan, Inc., a non-profit tree organization in Michigan.
